MINTUTES
OF MEETINGS OF 04/02/09:
The Minutes for the April 2, 2009
meeting were presented. Larry Grandey made
the motion to accept the minutes; Ann Maculia seconded, ayes carried.

A) Organizations
● Renewal of National Main Street
Membership
Larry Grandey made a motion to
renew DDM’s National Main Street
Membership, Ann Maculia seconded.
● TourSEKY
Luncheon May 12th
John Brown made a motion for DDM
to pay for the Board’s registration fee for the
TourSEKY luncheon on May 12, 2009, ($40/person). All members who already paid would be reimbursed besides Judy Barton. Larry Grandey seconded the motion, ayes carried.
Josh Wilkey proposed that the
Chairman be given a right to spend up to $200 discretionally
for general DDM purchases with no more than $500 a month to be spent in this manor. Larry Grandey
made the motion, Donna Smith seconded, ayes
carried.
DISCUSSION:
Fundraisers
were discussed: canvass bags, cookbooks,
calendars – Kassie will propose something at the next
meeting.
● Summer/Fall Music
Music was discussed: no decision
was made about doing a concert series and/or having
music at the Farmer’s Market. Promotions
committee will discuss at their meeting.
Discussion of the organizations
committee to conduct a membership drive.
Discussion of demand on housing
for the area and how downtown Middlesboro could
help meet that need for families and students.
