OF MEETINGS OF 05/07/09:
The Minutes for the May 7, 2009 meeting
were presented. Judy Barton made the motion to accept the
minutes; Vickie Byrne seconded, ayes carried.

A) Organization
● Membership Drive
Keith Nagle will deliver report
of paid memberships at next meeting.
● 501c3 Status
Response to IRS due June 16,
2009.
● Main Street Application
No report.
B) Economic Restructuring
● Update on
bank/loan project
Marcum Brogan reported on $1
Million loan available to Downtown.
C) Design
● CITY Grant Update, plus
finances
Judy Barton reported on
grant/fountain expenditures – benches/urns; Kassie reported on reimbursements.
D) Promotions
Update from the
Middlesboro Farmers’ Market Committee
Richard Mason reported
on need/desire to have more buyers.
Current schedule – Tuesdays 4-8 and Saturdays 9-1.

Kassie reported on June 23rd
concert downtown, Tri-State Chorus will also participate.
● Ice Cream Social
Josh Wilkey proposed Ice Cream
Social as ribbon cutter for fountains.

Penny Smith proposed possible
calendar fundraiser.
