ACTION:       Josh Wilkey called the meeting to order.

MINTUTES OF MEETINGS OF 06/04/09:

The Minutes for the June 4, 2009 meeting were presented.  Judy Barton made the motion to accept the minutes; Larry Grandey seconded, ayes carried. 

REPORTS AND DISCUSSION

1.  Organization

1. 501c(3) Status
2. Membership Update and Drive
3. Main Street Update Credits: Have 1.5 need 3 this year

                                                               i.      1 Credit from 30 year Celebration in Feb, ½ credit from South East Main Street Regional Meeting on Aug 4

                                                             ii.      Main Street Best Practices Conference October 20-22, 2 credits

1.      Frankfort, KY, registration unknown, 2 nights in a hotel,

Larry Grandey made a motion to send Kassie Hauser to the conference with expenses including registration and hotel stay.  Judy Barton seconded the motion and it passed.

4. Leadership Bell County—$250

Vicki Byrne made a motion that Discover Downtown Middlesboro sponsor Kassie Hauser for Leadership Bell County at the cost of $250.  Larry Grandey seconded and the Ayes carried.

2. Economic Restructuring
1. South East Regional Meeting this Fall

Judy Barton made a motion that we host the meeting and pay for the guests lunch to be planned by Kassie Hauser.  Vicki Byrne seconded and the ayes carried.

3. Promotions
1. New logo

The new logo was approved.  Vicki Byrne made the motion to approve the logo and Larry Grandey seconded.  The ayes carried.

2. Website

Kassie Hauser will come to the next meeting with estimates on the cost of building and maintaining a new website.  No motion was made on the matter.

4. Design
1. Grant Finances Update
2. Spending on plants

Judy Barton made a motion to allow the design committee to spend up to $2000.  Larry Grandey seconded and the ayes carried.
